Positive thoughts?

I came across two older items last week that really made me feel good about Artificial Intelligence and some of the good aspects and possibilities.  Like most people grounded in reality, the very impact of AI’s disruption on the job front and economic front can be deafening.  I like to think of the positive aspects, and here’s what helped me last week.

First, I came across and read Dario Amodei (CEO of Anthropic) blog piece “Machines of Loving Grace.”  Take the time to read it in its entirety, don’t have AI summarize it for you (like a schmuck).

Second, I’ve been catching up on the Google Deepmind podcasts.  This episode:

Modern medicine is amazing, and will be amazing even moreso with AI efficiencies.
